Amid Cancer Battle, Joey + Rory Get First Grammy Nomination

The nominations were announced this morning for the 58th annual Grammy Awards, and I'm sure no one was more shocked, and pleased, to be nominated than our friends Joey + Rory, who definitely needed some good news this week.

The duo was nominated for Best Country Duo / Group Country Performance for their song 'If I Needed You', which basically received nothing in the way of critical acclaim or radio airplay. It was their very first Grammy nomination, and, it has been well documented by Rory Feek's Blog 'This Life I Live', that the couple has had their struggles with Joey's cancer diagnosis, and progression. Rory sent a message out on their Facebook Page to say how grateful the couple is for the honor.
