The Spring version of the Angola Prison Rodeo will take place April 16 and 17, and it's the wildest show on dirt! This family friendly event also includes the wildly popular arts and crafts festival, tons of great food, and lots of exciting rodeo events. Gates open at 9:00 am, and the rodeo begins at 2:00, which leaves you plenty of time to peruse the various food booths, and arts and crafts vendors - including handmade crafts by the prisoners.

Tickets are $20 for the rodeo, and $5 just for the arts and crafts. If you haven't ever been to the rodeo - The Louisiana State Penitentiary is located at the end of Highway 66, about twenty-two miles northwest of St. Francisville, Louisiana  - Highway 61.

The rodeo is also held every Sunday in October, so make your plans now to go to this super fun event.
