Another Singing Competition On TV?

Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Richie and Robin Thicke will star in the new ABC music competition “Duets”. The show will make its debut this summer and is described as a “one-of-a-kind singing competition that takes the superstars out from behind the judges’ panel and onto the stage.” OK. I don’t know about you, but after the first couple of shows- “American Idol”, “Nashville Star” I was already kind of getting tired of them. “The Voice” on NBC seems to have refreshed the concept a little, but do we really need another panel of judges fawning over people that probably are best suited to sing in the church choir?
