Arizona School In Trouble For ‘Duck Dynasty’ Inspired ‘Redneck Day’ [Video]
So, the student council at Queens Creek High School in Arizona loves “Duck Dynasty” so much, they decided to have a “Red Neck Day” in honor of the show. One student even wore a Confederate flag, and that’s when things got weird.
The kids came to school dressed like members of the reality show cast, but instead the day was seen as offensive when students arrived at the school in stereotypical clothing.
Tom Lindsey, superintendent of the Queen Creek Unified School District told azcentral.com “It was no ill intent,” Lindsey told theArizona publication. “We apologize to any people who, because of the word (redneck), were offended,” he said.
