The campus was evacuated Monday around 11:30 a.m. after officials received threats over the phone of a bomb on campus. Officials had no choice but to order the evacuation of some 35,000 students, faculty and staff from campus. The evacuation was quick, and no one was injured, though traffic, as you could imagine, was a mess.

After all 250 buildings were checked, residents were allowed back into their dorm rooms around 8 p.m. and the entire campus was given the all clear at 11 p.m.

More details will be available when they are available. Bouvay is currently being held in the East Baton Rouge prison.
