An audit of Lafayette's Acadiana Legal Service Corporation has found inadequacies in the organization's maintenance of legal grant policies.

According to a report released by the Louisiana Legislative Auditor's office, the findings were part of an audit conducted by an independent CPA for the year ending Dec. 31, 2014.

One of the issues that arose in the audit includes findings that the allocation methods related to funds received from grants was not reviewed and assessed.

The audit also discovered the agency lacked adequate policies to ensure compliance with the Child In Need of Care Program requirements that the Louisiana Bar Foundation outlined in previous grant agreements.
