The Lafayette Parish Bayou Vermilion District will hold their annual Bayou Vermilion Festival and Boat Parade on Sunday, May 15th. Activities will be held from 10:00 am - 7:00 pm at Vermilionville, and all boats are welcome to participate at the second annual 'Reduce, Reuse, and Repaddle Craft Race', which begins at 11:00 am. The Boat Parade will begin at 2:00 pm at Vermilionville, and end at the Camellia Bridge Launch.

Some of the family friendly activities include a free yoga class, free bayou-themed face painting for kids and adults, kids' crafts and games, a homemade recycled materials paddle craft race, cooking demonstrations, food, and so much more.

After the boat parade is over, Cedric Watson and Bijou Creole will perform at the official after party, and food and drinks will be available from La Cuisine de Maman, and Bayou Teche Brewing from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. at the Camellia Bridge. Check out the schedule of events
