Caleb Adams had three hits, including a pair of home runs, and Seth Harrison had three hits and three RBI as the top-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns got nine of their thirteen hits in the final three innings to come from behind to defeat UT Arlington, 9-5 Friday night at Clay Gould Ballpark in Arlington, TX Friday night.

The Cajuns (35-4, 15-1 Sun Belt) remained unbeaten on the road (15-0) with the win.

Louisiana trailed 4-2 entering the seventh inning, but started their rally when Chase Compton led off the seventh with a walk off starter Brad Vachon.  It was the first inning in which the Cajuns had gotten the leadoff hitter on base.  After Michael Strentz flied out, Blake Trahan singled to right to send Compton to second.  Reliever T. J. Whidby got Ryan Leonards on a fly ball for the second out, but Harrison tripled high off the wall in left-center to tie the game.

Louisiana mounted their winning rally against reliever Chase Weaver (3-2) in the eighth when Adams led off with a bunt single.  Jace Conrad then followed with a bunt single of his own.  Dylan Butler sacrificed the runners to second and third.  Pinch hitter Greg Davis was walked intentionally to loead the bases and Strentz broke the tie with a bloop double to right off reliever Jacob Moreland to give the Cajuns the lead for good.  Trahan followed with an RBI single and, with two out, Harrison drove in his third run of the night with a single to make the score 8-4.  Adams' second homer of the night in the ninth rounded out the Cajuns' scoring.

The Mavericks (16-22, 8-8) scored in the first inning off starter Carson Baranik with Eric Tate singled and Matt Shortall tripled.  But Baranik avoided further damage when Harrison gunned down Shortall at the plate after catching a liner from Ryah Bottger.

The Cajuns took a 2-1 lead in the fourth on a Harrison bunt single and Adams' two run shot to right center.  But in the fifth, UTA chased Baranik when Levi Scott, Darien McLemore and Travis Sibley all singled leading off the fifth.  Derek Miller followed with a two run single.  Tate sacrificed the runners to second and third and Shortall singled home another run to give UTA a 4-2 lead.  Reliever Matt Plitt walked Bottger before stroking out Greg McCall and getting Justin Copeland on a fly ball to right.

UTA threatened again in the seventh when Bottger doubled with two out.  McCall was walked intentionally and reliever Chris Griffitt came on to walk pinch hitter J. M. Twitchell.  Freshman Regan Bazar (3-0) threw one pitch and Scott lined to right to end the inning, setting the Cajuns up for their rally in the eighth

Greg Milhorn came on for the final two innings, allowing an unearned run in the ninth.

The Cajuns and Mavericks will play game two of their series Saturday afternoon at 2pm. Lefty Ryan Wilson (5-0) will be the Cajuns' starter, while UTA will counter with right hander Zach Thompson (2-3).
