Chandler Catanzaro kicked a 37 yard field goal as time expired to give Clemson a 25-24 victory over LSU in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl in Atlanta Monday night.

Trailing 24-13 headed into the fourth quarter, Clemson (11-2) got a field goal from Catanzaro to get Clemson's Tigers within eight points. Then, quarterback Tajh Boyd hit DeAndre Hopkins with a 12 yard touchdown pass with 2:47 left to cut the LSU lead to two points.  Clemson's bid to tie the game on a two point conversion was thwarted.

But Clemson got the ball back a minute later and drove the ball downfield to set up Catanzaro's heroics.

There was a huge disparity in the statistics for the game.  Clemson had the ball for 36:21 to LSU's 23:39, and ran 100 plays to just 48 for LSU.  Clemson outgained the Bayou Bengals 445-219.

Jeremy Hill scored on touchdown runs of 17 and 57 yards and Zach Mettenberger threw a touchdown pass to Jarvis Landry to account for LSU's touchdowns.

LSU finishes the season 10-3.
