Cole Swindell has debuted a heartbreaking music video for his new single, "Middle of a Memory."

The "Middle of a Memory" video features a softer side of Swindell, whose upbeat hits such as "Chillin' It" and "Let Me See Ya Girl" have helped the country singer make a name for himself. His second studio album, You Should Be Here, has revealed a more vulnerable and thoughtful Swindell, first with the single "You Should Be Here," inspired by the death of his father, and now with "Middle of a Memory," which follows the trajectory, and eventual end, of a relationship. Lots of music videos show the course of an entire relationship from start to finish, but what makes "Middle of a Memory" unique is the mystery behind what brings the featured relationship to a close.

We're not sure why Swindell's love is leaving him behind, but we hear the pain in his voice as he sings the chorus: "In the middle of a dance floor all alone / In the middle of an old-school country song / Right when I was just about to lean on in / Why'd you have to go then?" the artist sings over clips of his first dance with the girl who will love him and leave him. "Baby, in the middle of the glow of the neon light / It shoulda, coulda, woulda been the night of our lives / Girl, it ain't right, no / How you gonna leave me right in the middle of a memory?"

"Middle of a Memory" follows five consecutive No. 1 hits for Swindell, and is currently blazing up the charts. Fans will have plenty of opportunities to hear the track -- and all of Swindell's other hits -- when he hits the road for his third annual Down Home Tour this fall.
