Crowley International Rice Festival Kicks Off Tomorrow

Food, fun, and great music are what The International Rice Festival is all about. Head on out to Crowley to hear Featherlight and Kevin Naquin kick off the musical festivities at 7. The festival is a week-end long event that continues until Sunday afternoon. Live music every night and plenty of fun for the kids on the fair grounds all day.

Friday is the junior king and queen pageant as well as the opening day for the Arts & Crafts fair just down the road. The Children's Parade will also be taking to the streets of downtown historic Crowley. How much rice can you eat? Come and find out for the International Rice Eating Competition. Entertainment for the day kicks off around 3 and continues on until midnight.

Saturday is known as the "big day." The 77th Annual International Rice Festival Queen will be crowned. The Grand Parade will be rolling though around 3 Saturday afternoon. Music is set to kick off not long after the parade comes to a close.
