‘Deadliest Catch’ Boat Captain Tony Lara Dead at 50
Tony Lara, who appeared on the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch", has died at the age of 50. He died in his sleep.
Lara was found at a private residence in Sturgis, South Dakota early Saturday morning. Authorities do not have a cause of death thus far. An autopsy is being conducted.
Lara appeared on the show as a boat captain for the Cornelia Marie.
That same boat was once captained by Phil Harris, who passed away in 2010 following a stroke.
