Tony Lara, who appeared on the Discovery Channel show "Deadliest Catch", has died at the age of 50. He died in his sleep.

Lara was found at a private residence in Sturgis, South Dakota early Saturday morning. Authorities do not have a cause of death thus far. An autopsy is being conducted.

Lara appeared on the show as a boat captain for the Cornelia Marie.

That same boat was once captained by Phil Harris, who passed away in 2010 following a stroke.
