Did y'all have a good Thanksgiving holiday? I sure do hope so. Now we are moving on to the next holiday- Christmas.  As you can already tell, Christmas is in full swing. A great way to celebrate the holidays is by getting in the kitchen and making something the entire family will love. Check out this easy and delicious peppermint bark recipe.

If you have ever eaten peppermint bark, you know how decadent it is! It is the perfect balance between sweet and somewhat salty.  Even if you don't like it, it looks great as a decoration on a table for a party.  And I promise, someone at the party will eat it all. Give it a try! You will need:

12 ounces good quality white, baking chocolate (not the morsels), chopped
24 hard peppermint candies

Yep, that's all you need. Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler over medium-low heat. Stir every 30 seconds and be careful not to burn the chocolate. Place the peppermint candies into a resealable bag (Ziploc) and crush with a rolling pin- or your fist.

Line a large baking sheet with waxed paper. Once the chocolate is beautifully melted, pour it onto the paper.  Smooth it out to desired thickness.  Sprinkle the crushed peppermint pieces over the white chocolate and transfer to a refrigerator to firm. When the bark is firm, break into bite-size pieces and serve at room temperature.  This also makes a great, homemade gift to give to people! Happy Holidays!
