Don’t Have a Pool But Want to Beat the Heat? Rent One of the 8 Available Right Now in the Lafayette Area

I was perusing Acadiana Reddit recently and someone asked the question: "Are there any 24-hour pools in Lafayette?"

The simple answer was no. One person said that probably the closest thing you'll find hours-wise is Red Lerille's Health & Racquet Club.

Another person brought up the app called Swimply where you can rent local pools. And it's really as simplified as that. People offer up the swimming pool at their homes for folks to rent by the hour.

It's like AirBnB, but just for the pool (and in most cases a restroom and the patio area, etc.)

How many pools are available to rent right now on Swimply?

The "swimple" answer is eight.

There are four pools for rent in Lafayette and one each in Breaux Bridge, Crowley, Eunice, and Youngsville.

How much is a typical rental?

It appears that most run from $25 to $40 an hour.

There was one we found that was listed at a whopping $160 an hour, but the owner said it could accommodate 100 people. You be the judge of that when you comb through the listings.

What is included in the rental?

Just like a vacation rental listing, each of the listings on Swimply highlights all the features offered.

Obviously, the pool is included and the owner will list all the other amenities included in the rental. In that, they'll list how many guests are allowed plus things like restrooms, parking, wifi, patio tables and chairs, pool toys and accessories, fire pits, and the like.
