DOTD Public Hearing On Proposed Ambassador Caffery Parkway North Extension

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration and Lafayette Consolidated Government, is holding a public hearing on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment for the proposed extension of Ambassador Caffery Parkway from I-10 in Lafayette to I-49 north of Carencro.

The hearing will be today, Wednesday, August 15, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Carencro Community Center, located at 5155 North University Ave in Carencro, LA. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive comment and opinions on the EA (Environmental Assessment). Attendees will have an opportunity to express their ideas and views concerning the proposed project's specific location, major design features, and the probable social, economic, and environmental affects involved as described in the EA document. DOTD Representatives will also be present to answer any questions.

The Draft EA is available for public viewing and can be accessed online at http://www.dotd.la.gov/planning/environ/
