Durel Says Bridges To Be Open Soon

I so enjoy it when I run into any of you on the street or in the store or wherever and you tell me that you watch OR listen. Interaction with you guys is so much fun! And one of the things I enjoy doing is asking YOUR questions to Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel. Yes, he visits with Bruce and The Kennel Club each Thursday morning on 97.3 The Dawg, but before that, he stops by to answer viewer questions on Good Morning Acadiana on TV3 . One of the questions that SEVERAL viewers submitted (and then others repeated on the KATC Facebook fan page) was "when will the bridge on Chemin Metairie be completed?"

According to Joey, it should be complete in about 2 weeks. The only work remaining is traffic striping, final grading, some sod installation, hydromulching, and a few miscellaneous items. WELL (here's where the chorus comes in), we also found out this past week that the bridge on Eraste Landry should be finished in about 2 weeks as well! A collective cheer went up in both the Townsquare Media building (that's 97.3 The Dawg) and the KATC studios.

I know there are pains with growing and we all know that project needed to be done. But, HOLY GRAND CANYON! We are all so totally excited!!!! YAAAAAY!!!!
