Additional Information

Lafayette Animal Aid will celebrate their 15th annual Bark in the Park Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Girard Park. It is Lafayette Animal Aid's biggest fundraiser and proceeds go to the operational costs for the "no-kill" animal shelter. This is also a great opportunity for other animal support groups to bring bring dogs that are available for adoption.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their family and four-legged friends. It is a day of fun for the children, fun jumps, rides, awesome food, prizes, special pampering for the pups, photo booth, micro-chipping, and doggy costume contests. The event will also include many free mini courses on training techniques, ways to have fun with your pup, and improving your dog’s social abilities.  Also, the event will include music by several band members from Vagabond Swing.  David Egan will be one of their celebrity judges for the dog contests and the ladies from Swamp Dogs of LA will be on hand.  This year they will be offering a Teddy Bear Repair service to all of the children who bring their favorite stuffed animal for repair, and they are asking that everyone please bring a donation for animal food for the community pet food bank.

Help save the lives of many homeless animals in our community!
