Bayou Harp Circle presents "Harps and Handbells for the Holidays," benefiting Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. Bringing peaceful sounds to the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, the Bayou Harp Circle will present its 9th Annual Christmas concert Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Affiliated School for the Blind Training Center. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Affiliated Blind of Louisiana, Inc.

The Bayou Harp Circle is a group of local harpists that formed in 2004 and are now under the direction of Bette Vidrine. Eight of the members will be playing in this year’s fundraising concert, and they’ll also be joined by singers, flutes and the children of the St. Cecilia Bell Choir. Bringing a unique sound to traditional Holiday music, the artists hope to draw in a crowd that not only enjoys the music but takes the time to learn more about ABL.
