The Junior League of Lafayette hosts No Fear No Future, a campaign against distractive and impaired drivers is going on through the month of April. No Fear No Future educates area high school students about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving through a simulated crash event. The Junior League of Lafayette offers these additional tips for all drivers from the U.S. Department of Transportation to prevent distracted driving:
- Turn off electronic devices and put them out of reach before starting to drive.
- be a good role model for young drivers and set a good example. Talk with your teens about responsible driving.
- Always wear your seat belt. Seat belts are the best defense against other unsafe drivers.
