The TECHE Project is proud to announce a collaboration with Christine Balfa to bring the second annual Shake Your Trail Feather concert event to Breaux Bridge. This festival raises funds to create projects and maintain facilities along the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail. The Bayou Teche Paddle Trail is a National Park Service recognized paddle trail that will draw paddlers from around the U.S. to experience paddling in Cajun Country.
The cost is free; however, the TECHE Project is raising funds for the Paddle Trail by selling an official festival pin for $5. Food, beverages and merchandise will also be available for purchase. Concert performances will include Makers Reel (Indie Rock),BonSoir Catin (Cajun), and Corey Ledet and His Zydeco Band(Zydeco). Louisiana Folk Roots will also host a "Heritage Stage" where host Todd Mouton will interview authorities on the history and culture of Bayou Teche. The St. Bernard students will perform an acoustic set as well as other local musicians.
