Faith Hill is returning to the big screen for the first time since 2004 -- the singer just wrapped filming for 'Dixieland,' a crime drama.

However, Hill won't play a role she's unfamiliar with, as she'll star as a mom in the film. She will portray the mother of Chris Zylka's character, a young man who has just been released from prison and falls in love with the girl next door, actress Riley Keough, who has her own set of problems. In real life, Keough is the granddaughter of Elvis Presley.

The indie film is set in the south in Jackson, Mississippi, Deadline reports. Zylka is known for his role in 'The Leftovers,' while Keough was in 'Magic Mike' and 'Runaways.' RJ Mitte from 'Breaking Bad,' 'Jamesy Boy' actor Spencer Lofranco, Brad Carter from 'True Detective' and Steve Earle from 'Treme' are also on the cast list. Mick Foley, a WWE star, will appear in the flick, as well. 'Dixieland' was written and directed by Hank Bedford and is being produced by Jen Gatien.

Hill -- who was most recently in 'Stepford Wives' -- is rather picky with which acting parts she takes on, having only appeared in a handful of roles since her debut in 1997 as a guest star on 'Touched by an Angel' and 'Promised Land.' Husband Tim McGraw also acts in addition to singing -- he's set for a new film with George Clooney called 'Tomorrowland,' expected in 2015.
