Schools of the Sacred Heart holds its annual family Congé this Sunday, April 21 on the grounds of the campus in Grand Coteau. This is a great family event, with lots of fun activities for kids and adults alike.

The day begins at 8:05 a.m. with the Course du Congé, a 5K race that begins and ends at the Schools of the Sacred Heart grounds.  New to Congé is the Saints Obstacle Challenge, a challenging, kid friendly, fun 1 mile obstacle course. Festivities for the entire family begin around 10:00 a.m.  Children’s games and recreation for all ages include a rock climbing wall, dunking booth, parachute drop, and pony rides just to name a few.  Also new this year is the Teen Scene.  Fun for teenagers that will include a photo booth, tie dye, and more.  The entertainment includes two food courts, live performances by local bands, and a fabulous silent auction.  Professional portraits by Allen Breaux Studios will also be available during the day.  The annual Congé volleyball tournament at Volley Beach round out the Congé festivities.

All proceeds benefit Schools of the Sacred Heart,so make plans to attend - this is one of my most favorite school festivals all year, and I can't wait to go back this Sunday!
