With a certain sporting event coming up this Sunday there is no doubt that a lot of attention will be focused on advertising. The art of advertising is simple in theory but quite difficult in deed.

The primary reason for any advertisement is to get you and I, the consumer, to remember the name of the product, company or service being advertised. One way advertisers achieve that is by pointing out the benefits of their products. That usually means they have to point out our shortcomings as human beings to make us desire the product in question.

Those shortcomings are quite different when you break it down between genders. Women are constantly wanting to improve themselves, their lives, and their families lives. Men have a much shorter attention span and are motivated by far less complex issues. Here is a great example of advertising when it comes to female vs. male. If it wasn't so honest, it wouldn't be so funny.
