Fire Reported On Rena Drive Tuesday Night [Video]

Officials with the Lafayette Fire Department are continuing their investigation into a residential fire that occurred shortly before 9 PM Tuesday night (August 14).

The residence is located at the corner of Rena Drive and Ayreshire Drive just off Johnston Street in Lafayette. According to witnesses, the area was covered in a thick layer of smoke while the blaze was at its worst.

The blaze was brought under control in under an hour and preliminary reports suggest that most of the significant damage was done to the rear of the home. Firefighters reported no injuries in connection with this blaze. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
