Flash Mob Puts Symphony On A Subway [Video]

The beautiful flowing tones of classical music and the rumble and screech of public transportation came together in a very beautiful way recently in Copenhagen Denmark. The flash mob was planned and pulled off using members of the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra and the classical radio station that serves Copenhagen.Flash mobs are not a new idea we've even had a few of them materialize right here in Lafayette.

The idea was to surprise subway commuters with the sound of beautiful classical music to accompany their journey. This is quite a change from the normal rumble of the train and cold quiet stares of strangers trying their best not to make eye contact.

This is the actual recording from the flash mob, it's amazing how music can transform the most mundane of places into a most magical experience. I especially love the looks on the faces of the children as this professional and classical trained musicians use the power of music to create an unforgettable train ride.
