The city of Lake Charles will look an awful lot like the city of Lafayette this Friday and Saturday. Especially in the vicinity of Burton Coliseum. Burton Coliseum is the host site for "Marsh Madness", the annual LHSAA Boys Basketball State Championship tournament.

You've probably figured out that more than one Acadiana area school will be traveling down I-10, being careful to travel the posted speed through Welsh, and on to Lake Charles for games on Friday and Saturday.

Friday will be the busy day for Acadiana area basketball fans. That's when three area teams will vie for a championship trophy.

FRIDAY, MARCH 8
Division IV – 12:00 p.m.
3. Hamilton Christian vs. 1. Lafayette Christian

Class 1A – 4:00 p.m.
8. KIPP Booker T. Washington vs. 2. North Central

Class 4A – 8:00 p.m.
3. Breaux Bridge vs. 1. Bossier

That schedule courtesy of KATC TV 3.

The fourth Acadiana area team will play on Saturday.

SATURDAY, MARCH 9
Division II – 2:00 p.m.
4. St. Thomas More vs. 3. De La Salle

If you haven't secured your tickets to support your favorite team. You can do so by following this link to Ticketmaster. I am pretty sure the Ticketmaster fees will be more than the cost of your ticket so if you can buy your ticket through your school, I'd go that route rather than pad the pockets of Ticketmaster. Can you tell I'm a bit bitter?
