Highway 90 Traffic Alert – Construction Delays

If you normally travel U.S. Highway 90 between New Iberia and Lafayette this traffic you should prepare for delays. Beginning Wednesday January 15th construction crews will begin work that will cause delays in the westbound lanes.

The construction is part of the U.S. 90 frontage road project and will cause issues for motorist between 7am and 3:30pm from Wednesday to Friday.The $5.8 million U.S. 90 Frontage Roads project involves constructing new frontage roads along U.S. 90 between John Darnell Road and La. 85. Work on the project began in August 2012 and is estimated for completion in March 2014.
