Junior League of Lafayette Celebrates 55 Years with Playground Project
Our friends at the Junior League of Lafayette are always trying to help better our community, and that's why we love them! For their 55th anniversary they are going to build a playground in the Lafayette community, for all to enjoy!
The playground will be built the week of March 19, 2013 in Mouton Park located near several schools and in a neighborhood setting. League members, with community and contractor assistance, will be replacing existing play equipment with two brand new units, refurbishing the swings and spring riders, and putting in an additional piece of equipment. The building process will conclude on March 23, 2013 with a community celebration.
The Junior League is inviting you to help with this important project by coming to Mouton Park, 803 Center St., Saturday March 23 for the kickoff celebration. From 3-5 there will be food, prizes, entertainment, and a great sense of what WE can do as a community. Come join the fun with the Junior League of Lafayette this Saturday!
