Lafayette Consolidated Government Chief Development Officer Kevin Blanchard says government is making sand available to Lafayette Parish residents in two locatins.

There is a 70 percent chance of rain forecast for tomorrow and some showers could be heavy.

Anyone wanting sandbags will need to bring their own shovel, and they will have to bag the sand themselves.

Officials are asking residents to take no more than 20 bags per househould.

The sand and bags will be in any area that is available at any time for people needing them.

The two locations are:

The North District at 400 Dugas Road in Lafayette, LA

The South District at Fortune Road, Youngsville, Verot School Rd. to Fortune Rd. go past the 4-way stop sign at Bonin Rd., location on the left past the roundabout
