Festival International de Louisiana begins Wednesday, April 23rd and will feature music, arts and crafts, demonstration and more through Sunday, April 27.

Lafayette Police say they are ready for Festival.

The department says for safety and security there will be some restriction on parking along Jefferson Street on Wednesday, April 23.  There will be no parking on Jefferson Street from 4 p.m. on Wednesday through 4 a.m. on Thursday morning between Lee Avenue and Main Street.

Here are the other closures for Jefferson Street that will be in effect during Festival:

  • On Thursday, April 24, 2014, there will be "No Parking" on Jefferson Street from 4pm - 4 am between Johnston Street and Cypress Street.
  • From Friday, April 25, 2014 at 4 pm through Sunday, April 27, 2014, at 10 pm, there will be "No Parking" on Jefferson Street between Johnston Street and Cypress Street.

Lafayette Police remind everyone that glass containers are illegal in public and all animals must be on a leash.
