With only a handful of months left until the kids are out of school for the Summer (Gasp) it's time to start thinking about what they'll be doing for the break.

The Bayou Church:  Several different programs for children in Pre-K to 12th grade

  • Students who have completed grades 5-7 by May 31, 2015: June 22-26, 2015, Louisiana Tech // Ruston, LA

Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana: Available for children ages 6 to 18

  • 7 week summer program
  • 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Camp Calvary:   Children ages 5-12.

  • June 3, 2013 - August 9, 2013
  • Camp fee is $120 for the week with lunch provided by camp, $99 for the week with lunch provided by parents.

KidCam: Two locations in Lafayette and Youngsville for kids 3-13

  • June 1, 2015 – July 31, 2015 (Nine Weeks) at $130 a week

Kidz Kabaret: Children ages 8-18 can audition in June for July camp where they will perform The Wizard of Oz.

  • You'll need to sign-up before May 29th.  Auditions are Saturday, June 20 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. or Monday, June 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cité des Arts (109 Vine St., Lafayette, LA).
  • The camp will run July 6 through 31, Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Performances will beJuly 30 to August 9, Thursday through Sunday. The production fee is $250, and the fee for the second child in the family is $200.

Louisiana Folk Roots:   Open to ages 8 to 14

  • Monday-Friday, June 15-19
  • Vermilionville Living History Museum and Folklife Park

LSU Summer Reading Programs: 4 year olds through adults.

  • Programs in Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Houma, Lafayette, Sorrento, and West Monroe

St. Thomas More: Several different programs for multiple sports and ages.

  • Sessions begin June 2 and running through August 1. No camps are offered the first week of July. Several camps have multiple sessions, with a few offering half day or full day options

UL College of Education: Various programs for different age groups
