The Lafayette weather for the upcoming work week is going to be relatively quiet. The thunderstorms of early Sunday morning have long since passed and fog might be the bigger issue for the commute to work and school this morning.

With the exception of fog in the morning the first part of the work week will be mostly sunny with temperatures rising to the middle 80's by mid-week. On Wednesday rain chances will move into the area with an approaching storm system. The best chance of rain will be late in the day Thursday and Thursday night.

Friday's forecast will call for sunny skies and cooler temperatures as this storm system moves off to the east. The long range forecast for next weekend is calling for mostly sunny skies and afternoon temperatures in the low to mid 70's.
