It aint over until it's over, you hear that a lot in the world of sports. To be honest in many sporting events it is over long before the final buzzer. Most fans can sense when a contest has gotten way out of hand and it is time to beat the traffic and listen to the rest of the game on the radio. It was a real nail biter, in fact the difference in the score was only two points. It was two points with less than a second left on the clock so I can understand the leading team's confidence. But as we said it isn't over until it's over and suddenly after a shot almost the full length of the court it was over for real. The look of shock and disbelief on the faces of the players really tells the story.
