Local Businessman Ed Krampe Has Passed Away

Ed Krampe, local philanthropist and owner of 21 McDonald's restaurants in Acadiana has passed away from a reported heart attack at the age of 75.

From a press release from Sides and Associates, "Krampe owned 21 McDonald's restaurants in Acadiana and has employed more than 70,000 people since he moved to Lafayette in 1972 to open the first McDonald's in Acadiana".

No information has been released about funeral arrangements at this time.
