We love playing Christmas music here at 97.3 The Dawg -- but not until AFTER Thanksgiving! Seems like not every radio station adheres to this policy and Americans aren't all that happy with that decision.

According to a recent survey, 55% of Americans say it's unacceptable for Christmas music to be played before Thanksgiving. And, the older the person, the more likely they are to agree with this statement.

71% of people over 65 say it's not okay while 63% of people between 45 and 65 don't think it's a cool idea. As we get to the younger folks, that number drops. 30 to 44-year-olds say it's not okay.

Apparently it's these young punks (hehe) who think it's fine and dandy that we crank up "Hard Candy Christmas" now. Only 40% of people 18 to 29 say it's unacceptable to play Christmas music right now.
