They are some of the most touching stories we get to share with you on the radio station. They are the stories of wishes granted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Most often they involve children with a terminal illness and the requests of these precious little ones make us all stop and think.

Maybe it's a trip to theme park, or a ride on a fire truck or the chance to carry the football in the uniform of their favorite team. These requests are genuine and real but it takes people like you and I to make them come true.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana is holding an informational volunteer orientation on May 8 in Lafayette. The orientation program will begin at 7pm and is expected to be over by 8:30pm. The event will be held at Coyote Blues restaurant , 5741 Johnston Street.

This event is open to people of all ages, however you must be 21 or older to actually help grant wishes. If you'd like to know more about this orientation program please call Jackie Heroman at 504-846-9474 Ext 203.
