Man Wanted For Attempted Second Degree Murder Charge Turns Himself In To Lafayette Police

A man wanted on a charge of attempted second degree murder after a stabbing early Monday morning turned himself into police overnight.

Corporal Paul Mouton, spokesman for the Lafayette Police Department, says investigators were called out to the 6100 block of Johnston Street after police found out a man stabbed at Lipsticks Gentlemen’s Club had gone to the hospital for treatment.

Police say 29-year-old Jermaine Pete is accused of stabbing a man twice during a fight that happened at the club.

The victim was treated at an area hospital and released.
