The man responsible for the most famous on-side kick in NFL history is coming to Lafayette to meet all the Acadiana Saints fans. New Orleans Saints All-Pro punter and kicking specialist Thomas Morstead will be appearing at Ruffino’s on the River in River Ranch (921 Camellia Blvd., Lafayette) on Tuesday July 23rd. The event is sponsored by Oncologics.

Scott Prather of ESPN1420 and ESPN1420.com will be hosting a special edition of the Great S.C.O.T.T. show from 3 to 6 at Ruffino's, as Morstead will join him for portions of the broadcast. Also guesting will be the Louisiana Ragin' Cajun special teamers.

Morstead will be selling raffle tickets to benefit his charity, What You Give Will Grow. The event begins at 4:00.

“I’m excited to continue to spread the message behind ‘What You Give Will Grow’ and hope to inspire others to give what they can whether it’s donating their time, resources or financially,” Morstead said. “I’m very grateful for all of the support we’ve received and I’m looking forward to making a positive impact on families across the Gulf South in the future.”

The winner of the raffle will be taking home quite a prize that includes: two (2) tickets for each 2013 Saints regular season home game, hotel accommodations for each home game courtesy of the Royal Sonesta, a diamond fleur-de-lis necklace courtesy of Friend & Company, dinner for the winner and one (1) guest at Desi Vega’s in New Orleans with Morstead and his wife, Lauren, and an autographed Thomas Morstead 2013 authentic NFL Pro Bowl jersey which are not available for sale to the public.

Fans can purchase raffle tickets at the event or by visiting www.whatyougivewillgrow.com, beginning July 23rd. Ticket prices start at $2.00 with a minimum purchase of $10.00.
