Most and Least Healthy Candy You’ll Steal From Your Kids After They Go Trick-or-Treating
Alright parents, let's not even pretend we are not guilty of this -- we all comb through our kids trick-or-treating haul after they get back from hitting up the neighbors for the goods.
You know the routine. You tell the kids they can only have a few pieces then ship them off to bed. Then it's a free-for-all into that sweet bag of treats!
If you are going to partake in the bounty tonight, perhaps you should know which candies are less healthy for you. (I know, not exactly top of mind at that point, but your waist will thank you later.)
The website TheDaily.com ranked 29 different types of Halloween candy based on how bad they are for you. Their ranking is based on those "fun sized" versions.
You will probably be surprised to learn that Twizzlers tops the worst candy list. The Halloween-sized Twizzlers pack has a whopping 130 calories and 16 grams of sugar.
Here is the complete top 10 "worst candy" list:
- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- Take 5
- Baby Ruth
- Milky Way
- Almond Joy
Now there aren't exactly "healthy" candies out there but here are the top 10 least unhealthy types:
- Hershey's Kiss
- Tootsie Roll
- Laffy Taffy
- Jelly Belly jelly beans
- York peppermint patty
- Milk Duds
- Mike and Ike
- Swedish Fish
- Brach's candy corn
