Taylor Swift Named 2011 Teen Choice Awards Ultimate Choice Winner

She’s already earned seven American Music Awards, six CMT Music Awards, four Grammys, and an MTV VMA — but soon, Taylor Swift will have to make room on her crowded mantel for another honor.

Swift is this year’s Ultimate Choice winner at the Teen Choice Awards, held Sunday, August 7. The award, presented for “extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry,” has previously gone to Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Reese Witherspoon, among others.

Scotty McCreery Previews New Video for ‘I Love You This Big’ [VIDEO]

It’s been a roller coaster ride for Scotty McCreery ever since he won ‘American Idol.’ And now, the season 10 winner is filming his first-ever video for the single ‘I Love You This Big.’ McCreery recently spoke to ‘Access Hollywood’ and gave a preview of the upcoming video, reported PopCrush.

“This is pretty insane. I mean, really. All the hard work that’s been put into this and now I’m sitting here doing my first music video. And it’s just a really cool thing to finally be here,” he said in disbelief.

Grammy Awards No Longer To Recognize Cajun/Zydeco Award

The Grammy awards are supposed to be about music, all music. I think they have become more about a seriously dull television show over the past few years. The announcement that Cajun/Zydeco and several other regional and real American music genres would no longer be recognized by the alleged music industry makes me very angry and hurts my soul. It was bad enough the Grammys didn't see fit to share winners in the Cajun/Zydeco category with a national TV audience before but to now basically say we don't want your kind at our party, for shame.  Our friends at KATC visited with some of our local Grammy winners and got their take on the whole story.
