Um, I don't know how to tell y'all this, but there are clowns with laser lights and chains trying to lure kids into the woods.

Parents in Greenville, North Carolina are being warned by police that people dressed as clowns have been spotted trying to lure children into the woods with money and candy.

Buzzfeed.com reports that in a letter from the Fleetwood Manor apartments in Greenville “There [have] been several [conversations] and a lot of complaints to the office regarding a clown or a person dressed in clown clothing talking to children or trying to lure children into the woods".

The letter also states that at no time should children be left alone at night, walk alone or go anywhere need the wooded area by the apartment complex.

Y'all. Y'ALL!

On August 21st, a woman filed a report with police according to Buzzfeed stating her son told her he had “seen clowns in the woods whispering and making strange noises”.

The woman at that point went to investigate what her son had told her, and according to the police report she saw several clowns in the woods flashing green laser lights, and then ran away into the wooded area.

Terrifying, right? It gets worse.

The mother, Donna Arnold's 13-year-old son told police he heard "chains and banging at the door of their home".

HE HEARD THE CLOWNS BANGING CHAINS ON HIS FRONT DOOR.

Oh, the kids have also told police they believe these clowns live in an abandoned house  near a pond in the woods.
