I've thought for quite a few years now that the Super Bowl halftime show is over-hyped and under-whelming. Things could change this year if a group online gets their way.

There's a petition online at Change.org asking that "Weird Al" Yankovic headline this year's Super Bowl halftime show. At last check, it had over 43,000 signatures.

The real question is, what kind of show would it be if he got the gig? Well, the fine folks floating the petition around have that figured out. He'll be performing with the artists he parodies in his songs.

He may team up with Coolio on "Amish Paradise" or perhaps "Like a Surgeon" with Madonna or even "White and Nerdy" with Chamillionaire and Krayzie Bone.

We'll keep you posted if this happens or not. (Our money is on "not".)
