Ian Rapaport of the NFL Network is reporting that New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas will miss the next 2-3 with a shoulder injury.

Thomas suffered the injury during last Sunday's 24-23 loss to the Detroit Lions.

The 29-year old Thomas is almost certain to miss Sunday night's game against the Green Bay Packers, as well as the Thursday, October 30th road game against the Carolina Panthers, with his availability for the November 9th game against the San Francisco 49ers still in question.

Thomas, a nine-year veteran, has a 133 rushing yards, along with 204 receiving yards this year, while accumulating 3,656 rushing yards and 2,434 receiving yards, along with 40 total touchdowns over his career.

In other Saints' news, the team re-signed tight end Tom Crabtree on Monday, two days after releasing him, and waived rookie linebacker Todd Davis.
