Louisiana’s lottery luck continues to return to top-flight form with yet another big win in a multi-state lottery game last night. According to the Louisiana Lottery, there was a $50,000 winning ticket sold in Louisiana for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing. This big win piggybacks yesterday’s $10,000 winner that was produced by the Mega Millions game.

If you didn’t see last night’s Powerball drawing. Here is how the ping pong balls settled after being dropped from the hopper.

The numbers drawn were 16 27 59 62 63 Powerball 23 Power Play x3

You can verify those numbers here, at the Powerball website. That site also confirmed a big win for players in the Texas Lottery. According to the Powerball site, tickets sold in Texas and Georgia matched the numbers needed to claim a two-million-dollar prize in last night’s game. However, no ticket sold in the Powerball footprint matched all the numbers needed to claim last night’s estimated top prize of $677,100,000.

This means that when they play Powerball again on Saturday night, the game’s estimated annuitized top prize will be a whopping $725 million dollars. The Powerball game has not produced a jackpot winner since a prize of more than $1 billion dollars was won by a California-sold ticket back in July.

The Louisiana Lottery has not released point of purchase details on Wednesday’s $50,000 winner. We do know the ticket purchaser matched four of the white ball numbers and the Powerball. They did not opt-in on the Power Play option.

There were no big winners in last night’s Lotto drawing or Easy 5 game either. The jackpots in those draw games will increase to $650,000 and $100,000 respectively for their next drawings on Saturday night.
