Public Invited To Honor Fallen Vermillion Deputy Allen Bares Jr

The funeral for fallen Vermillion Parish Office deputy Allen Bares Jr., who was killed Monday, is set for 1:30 this Friday. A showing of Jeeps in support of Bares is being organized, but any and all vehicles are welcome and encouraged to show support.

The idea is to line the side of Highway 14, between the Abbeville airport and Erath, to pay respects as the hearse and procession drive-by. Organizers are asking supporters to meet at the Abbeville airport, near the military Museum, at 2 PM, to allow time for staging.

As many American flags as possible are welcome and encouraged.
