Ragin’ Cajun Racer – Meet A Louisiana NASCAR Driver

If you've ever driven down Ambassador Caffery Parkway or Camellia Boulevard in Lafayette you know people around here like to drive fast. With all the the training we get carpooling, you'd think there would be an entire slew of Louisiana drivers in NASCAR. Well there isn't. In fact I only found one Louisiana born driver that competes in NASCAR. His name is Hal Martin.

Hal was nicknamed the Ragin' Cajun because he hails from Galliano Louisiana and currently resides in New Orleans. Hal has driven in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, The ARCA Series and the Camping World  Truck Series.  He currently drives for TriStar Motorsports which is based out of Mooresville North Carolina.

The official entry list for Saturday's Drive4COPD 300 is expected to be released on Monday and we will see if The Ragin' Cajun will be included with a chance to make the field.
