Sports are often used as metaphor for life. Right now as Saints fans our lives feel a little empty since our team is no longer involved in the playoffs. We might be a little upset at  our team but it's not the way they played that upsets us. It is the constant reminder that sometimes in life you don't get what you want, but you always get what you need.

Dollly Parton has this saying emblazoned across her theme park Dollywood ," If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain". While the rainbow may be very hard to see here in "Who Dat" land today. There was a time when a storm almost took away our chance to see the brilliant colors of success. That storm was Hurricane Katrina.

The rainbow reappeared on September 25, 2006 when everyone who ever loved the New Orleans Saints cried tears of joy. We cried because our team was back. We cried because we had been through so much. We cried because gratitude will always lead to greatness. Boy were we rewarded.
