New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Broderick Bunkley likely has a torn quad, pending an official MRI. This, according to a report from ESPN.com Saints columnist Mike Triplett. If the report is accurate, Bunkley's season would be over.

Bunkley, 31, is the starting interior defensive lineman for New Orleans. While his play has been inconsistent at times, he was the best run stuffer on the Saints defense.

Last night, he left the game with the quad injury in the first half. In a 34-27 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the Saints gave up a season worst 215 yards rushing.

Backups John Jenkins, Brandon Deaderick, and Tyrunn Walker (more on passing downs) are the likely candidates to receive Bunkley's snaps.
