Alex Rodriguez

News reports circulated recently that Major League Baseball and the Drug Enforcement Administration were investigating a clinic in Miami, Florida, run by Anthony Bosch, as being associated with performance enhancing drugs.

Bosch, the 49-year-old head of the clinic which has been associated with PED's, is a consultant to many baseball players. He was connected to Manny Ramirez, who was suspended for 50 games for violating baseball's drug policy in 2009.

Today, the Miami New Times gave a list the names of prominent baseball players -- including Alex Rodriguez, as well as listing performance-enhancing drugs administered to him, and others, such as Melky Cabrera, Bartolo Colon, Gio Gonzalez, and Nelson Cruz.

The most high-profile player on the list is Rodriguez, the third baseman of the New York Yankees, who admitted to using steroids from 2001-03, but has said he has not used PEDs since.

The Miami New Times report, which came about after a three-month investigation, lists Rodriguez's name 16 times, including one record from Bosch's private notebook which indicated that Rodriguez paid Bosch for HGH, a banned substance by MLB.

Rodriguez recently had hip surgery, and is expected to miss all, if not all of the 2013 MLB season.
