One of the greatest, and at the same time, worst plays in New Orleans Saints history happened on this date 11 years ago.

The play was coined the "River City Relay" and if memory serves me correct it was the second-to-last game of the 2003 season. The Saints were down by seven points to Jacksonsville with just seven seconds remaining in the game.

Furthermore, the team's playoff hopes were riding on a win in that game and in the season finale.

Well, you probably remember how it all unfolded. Aaron Brooks hit Donte Stallworth who ran for a bit and lateraled to Michael Lewis, who then handed it back to Deuce McAllister who finally found a wide open Jerome Pathon and he streaked into the end zone.

John Carney pushed the extra point wide right.

I've never experience such joy and disappointment in a two minute span in my life and I hope for all our sake, we don't ever have to go through that again!

Let's relieve that emotionally draining play.
